You Never Know ‘Til You Try
You truly do not know how you will do at something new until you try it. I started a teaching position at local university in April. I was very nervous beforehand. The thought actually crossed my mind to quit before the class, but I recognized it as a silly, fearful thought. I was not serious about quitting and walking away, I am just admitting it would have been easier, and less rewarding, to have walked away.
It was just fear anyway. Facing the fear head-on and pushing through it was the right choice. With only two weeks left in the class, I can experience the feelings of enjoyment (and some worthwhile sadness knowing the class will end in two weeks).
