About Devin Hakala, MS, MBA, LMFT . . .
Devin has worked in the mental health field for 10 years, and has worked with couples, families, and individuals from every age group. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and Social Welfare, from UW-Madison. His Master of Science degree was completed in Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. He completed his Master of Business Administration degree in January, 2011.
Devin’s faith in God provides him with a drive to encourage others, and anchors him during the storms of life. Devin is a living example of how God can sustain sanity and heal emotionally through and after divorce. His personal and professional experiences have contributed to placing Devin in a powerful position to help others through his relationship coaching. Devin’s approach, warmth, and sincerity provide hope to those who have been dealing with emotional pain and heartache.
Devin has two wonderful children and lives in Wisconsin. He enjoys reading, writing, golfing, and occasionally watches movies. He can be somewhat nerdy at times, but is sincere most of the time and likes to laugh. Sipping a good cup of coffee while reading a book is one of his favorite things to do. If he hears ocean waves rolling up onto a beach while he reads his book and enjoys that cup of coffee, he is truly content.
Devin is a published writer. His first book was published in April, 2011, with the title 81 Nuggets: Insights on Personal and Interpersonal Health. He was also a contributing author to Healthy Profits: The Five Elements of Strategic Wellness in the Workplace, by Sandra Larkin. Both books have links on the main page of this site.

What you won’t find here . . .
A therapy experience. This site is designed to provide tips and advice, and encouragement as stated above. It is not intended or presented to be psychotherapy or counseling. It is also not intended to be any form of criticism of any therapist or health provider you currently see. This site and its content does not take the place of any form of health care. It will hopefully be therapeutic each time you visit, it just won’t be therapy.
Thank you for visiting!
Devin
